Description:

The Cherry Creek Vista Parks and Recreation District had a long list of desired improvements for their facility and a limited budget.  Through an in depth site assessment and facility audit and detailed budget tracking I helped them prioritize the facility improvements to fit within their budget.  I also lead bi-weekly meetings with a working group to better understand the community's needs and presented progress and master plan diagrams to the District's Board of Directors.  The facility improvements included remodeling the existing bathhouse restrooms, removing the check-in and concessions wing and replacing it with a 1,600 SF community room, lifeguard office, and check-in building.  A 300 SF concessions addition to the existing bathhouse, new site shade structures, improved access and circulation throughout the facility, and new aquatic amenities such as a drop slide and toddler slide.
